Anything making you queasy or sick: Been starting to feel sick again this month. I almost puke in my mouth a lot.... Panera cheddar brocolli soup - gross

Labor Signs: Lots of contractions. Sometimes I think, this is it, this is it..... and then they stop

35 Weeks

33 Weeks

30 & 31 Weeks & Nursery Updated

3rd Trimester! 28 Weeks

Ok since I obviously don't have time to write super long blog posts this pregnancy I'll chat about a few things.

Number 1
Luckily this time around the rib pain is pretty much not there. Occasionally it hurts, but it's been rare.

Number 2
Pelvic pain is definitely worse this time. Just the pressure hurts.

Number 3
I haven't gained as much weight yet this time, but I also started out heavier.
With Avery I started at 137 lbs. With Asher (new baby's name) I started at 147 pounds, went down to 143, and now been steady around 150. I assume obviously I will gain more weight in time.


How far along?: 28 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: See above
Maternity clothes?: I think this time I officially had to start wearing maternity clothes around 19 weeks.
Stretch marks?: Not from this time around....
Sleep: I've realized if I go to sleep later I don't end up getting up in the middle of the night to pee as much. Not sure that's really more sleep.
Best moment this week: Avery pointing to the sign at the obgyn when I told him "look mommy has a baby in her belly like that" after that Avery just kept saying "out, out, out"
Have you told family and friends: Everyone knows
Miss Anything?: Just being able to be myself. I'm definitely a lot more tired and can't do as much.
Movement: Tons of movement. Asher loves to kick Avery when I'm holding Avery.
Food cravings: Desert
Anything making you queasy or sick: The liquid you have to drink for gestational diabeties made me want to puke
Have you started to show yet: Most definitely
Gender prediction: Already know it's a boy
Labor Signs: Starting to have some braxton hicks
Belly Button in or out?: Almost fully out
Wedding rings on or off?: On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Mostly happy, just tired
Looking forward to: Getting the nursery fully ready and my house being fully cleaned/organized. The need to nest is going nuts!

22, 24, and 25 Weeks

Still doing my best to try and not gain as much this time.
Started at 147, got down to 143, now 149.

Also luckily no rib pain yet! Only had pain one day. Things are going pretty well.

19 Weeks

Avery decided my mango needed editing :)

We figure out the gender of baby #2 on Tuesday!!! YAY!!!!!!

Still haven't gained any weight yet this time around. Lost 5 lbs at the beginning and haven't gained it back yet. I WILL NOT GAIN 50 LBS LIKE I DID THE FIRST TIME!!!

17 Weeks #2

Total weight gain/loss: Lost 5 pounds, then gained 2 back
Maternity clothes? Not yet, trying to hold out as long as possible this time. 

Stretch marks? Not from this time around....
Sleep: Already having to get up and pee a lot in the middle of the night
Best moment this week: Avery loving his new backpack toddler leash.... ya go ahead and judge me, my super fast runner is on a leash :)
Have you told family and friends: Mostly everyone, but not on Facebook yet

Well I'm not sure if anyone reads my blog anymore, but if you do... SURPRISE!

hi!

Well clearly I suck at the whole one a day thing about Avery.

Avery is growing up so fast! Today he got his first haircut. It was kind of traumatic. He cried a lot :(

Also Avery has been doing some super cute things. He likes to dance now :)
He also MOOs at like every animal. And he can also buck like a chicken hehe

He's also getting really good at climbing up stairs and going down slides on his butt

It's been too long

Clearly I am failing at this whole sentence a day thing....

Avery has started to learn how toy cars work. Before he just like threw them around and played with them. Now we crawls around the room pushing them using the wheels. It's super cute to watch :)

Also yesterday after spending all weekend doing stairs head first he has finally started going backwards down steep stairs! Yay!

Still not walking yet, but definitely starting to stand for longer periods of time.

Farm

Today Avery and I went to the farm with some friends. It's so cute how he interacts with things now. He got super excited about the cows. The cows were licking his fingers haha. He also really liked the ducks.

I can't believe he's one!

Avery turned one on May 2nd. It's a happy and sad time. I'm glad he's getting older, but that just means he's further away from being a baby. He's turning into a really cute curious guy though :)

Funny Eater

Yesterday instead of picking food up with his hands like Avery usually does, he decided to use his mouth instead. Meaning the food was on the tray and he just kept putting his mouth down to the tray and eating it right off the tray. Kind of like a dog! haha it was amusing!

Also usually when we go outside we put a pacifier in Avery's mouth to stop him from eating grass, sticks, dirt, etc. But yesterday I kept putting the pacifier in his mouth, then he would spit it out and grab a stick to chew on! He kept doing it over and over again! It was funny, but who knows how much dirt he ate!

Talking

Avery loves being outside. These days when I take him on a walk I usually put him in the baby bjorn and walk around the block. He loves it. Sometime the whole way he will just babble. He likes to make noises then use his fingers to move his lips and make "blah blah blah" sounds.

One line a day

Okay so clearly I am avoiding this blog. Just been super busy.

Here's the plan. After hearing one of my fellow moms speak I'm going to try and at least right one line a day about mom life, or Avery, or something like that.

For now I have a few lines.

Avery now goes through the dog door.... this is causing many problems. But it is super cute. Usually after he goes through it he just starts laughing. He loves being outside.

Avery also likes to take the vents off of the grates in the house. The other day he almost dropped a pacifier down one!

I can't believe my baby is almost one year old. It's been exciting and hard. It's definitely gotten easier the older he gets, but also in some ways harder. No longer can I sit on the couch and have my baby snuggle with me.

9 Months!

Well Avery is 9 months. I can't believe how big he's gotten. Time really does fly.

He still doesn't really crawl. He's really good at scooting. He uses his arms to pull himself forward, kind of like an army crawl. It's cute. He's also getting good at transferring himself from object to object standing up. He goes from his play block, to the coffee table, to the activity table. Problem is now he occasionally falls, which is sad because of course he cries.

We've also been going through some other hard times. Around 8.5-9 months he was constantly whining. I think he just really wanted to crawl and he couldn't. So he would just whine alll daaayyyy long. He whined when I was holding him, he whined when playing, he whined when eating! SO MUCH WHINING! Luckily it has started to slow down and I'm getting my sanity back.

Also Avery now refuses to get pureed food. He only wants to eat food that he can pick up himself. If you try to feed him pureed food he grabs the spoon and flips out. So we have resorted to cutting foods up into tiny pieces that he can eat. So cheese, strawberries, grapes. and bananas. He's also a huge fan of Annie's Mac & Cheese haha.

Other than these couple issues things are still going well. Avery has two full teeth on the bottom now and he's getting 2 on the top. He's 22 pounds now. My big boy :).

8 Months & First Snow!

Avery is 8 months! Goodness gracious he's getting old. Stop growing!!!

Anyway actually I'm really happy he's getting older. The baby phase is super cute, but I feel like it get's easier and easier the older he gets. Now he has his own little personality.

Avery also isn't crawling yet. I think his tummy is too big. He tries to get up on all fours and then just plops onto his belly. He just keeps going backwards! He rolls and turns to try and get where he wants to haha.

By the way pushing a shopping cart in the snow... much harder than it looks haha.

7 Months!

Well my baby is 7 months now. I was super excited to get to the 6th month mark, but now that we are at 7 months it's actually kind of sad. My baby is growing up :(

He isn't crawling yet, but he is sitting up very well. He has also mastered the art of sliding across the floor backwards on his belly.

Also sadly to say I only attempt to breastfeed him in the morning and at night. He got in this habit of trying to eat, being mad it wasn't coming out fast enough, biting me... and then pulling away crying. Therefore breastfeeding seems to only work when he's very calm and things aren't hectic. Well at least I'm still somewhat trying.
